Mental Health Awareness Week

 Our mental health is all about our Hauora - Wellbeing. It's something that we have where we can cope with stresses in life, it also looks at ones ability to respond to daily challenges. Mental health is all about being healthy for example having healthy relationships, healthy lifestyles, healthy minds, healthy brains and etc.

Mental health is positive and negative, we have those times where we go through hard times like family problems or losing someone close and ending up going through depression but there are positive times like the times when we get uplifted and motivated by friends which make us feel good about ourselves.

Things I do so that I can get through my mental issues is by showing resilience, resilience is a must, being able to get back on my feet and carry on with my chin up and my back straight is important so that I'm still going through life and not sticking to being depressed and pushing all my problems down.

I also tend to talk to close people or going to the nurse and the councillor at my school, sometimes taking time for yourself and doing what you enjoy is a good way to help cope with your mental health issues but also talking to someone and getting it out and talking to someone who can give you some advice and solutions of how to fix your problems.
