Space rockets

Yesterday we have been finishing our work on Earth and beyond. The topic my group (Aumau and Aletheia) did was Space rockets, For space rockets we have came up with amazing questions and I think the people in my group have some nice and detailed answers. Here is our presentation:

The thing I enjoyed in this was participating and contributing in my group and the thing I think I could improve on is looking over my work just in case there is a mistake and also making sure I have full detail in my work.

Blog commenting

Today I have chosen to blog comment on other students blogs to give them feedback and feedforward on what they should do the next time that they blog. Today I have blog commented on Arizona's blog. The blog that I have commented on was her Tai chi reflection that she did today, I really liked how she told the stories about what our teacher Mr Gordien told us at Tai chi. Solar system

For inquiry we have been working on Gravity. Gravity is one of the things that we use to live. If we didn't have gravity, then everything would be everywhere. Gravity is used as a gravitational pull to keep us down like if you tried to jumped away from Earth you would just come right back. If you were to stand anywhere in the world and throw a ball, the ball would just come right back to Earth. Did you know that there are 2 things that Gravity is made out of and that is Mass and Weight, Weight is just to how much you weigh like if you weighed 64 kg's on Earth like my friend then on Jupiter she would weigh more heavy she would weigh 166.4 kgs and that's because how much mass is there and it happens on the other planets to so if she weighed herself on every planet then she would weight different amounts because of the masses on each planets which are all different. Did you know that because Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system, if everyone weighed themselves they would probably be a lot more heavy from how much they weighed them selves on Earth.

Matariki

This week we are going to be focusing on Matariki. For Matariki we each get a different task to do in groups and we must find a way to make a project to show our learning on Matariki. The only thing is that we can not use google drawing, google docs and google presentation. We can not use those because the teacher have found out that the student are using those type of learning tools to do there learning mostly instead of using like calender paper screencastify and etc. For my group we are thinking of making a video. In our video we must include facts about our topic on Matariki, For Matariki we are doing the stars of Matariki, Which includes finding out what there called, what are the stories behind Matariki and other question. Hopefully that when we finish the movie I will get a chance to show it on my blog.

Tai Chi

Good morning, today the kia manawanui syndicate girls are going to be having Tai chi. When we are doing Tai chi we learn about different topics and the meaning of them. Today the topic we had was courage and for courage we learnt that when you have courage you are being brave, having courage and taking risk. We also learnt that when you are being followed by a unknown person that you don't know then it's better to cross the road because then it will give a bigger chance for the person to take for long to do a U- turn and follow you and if they get out of there car the best word to use for yelling for help is "Stranger Help" or like "I don't know you someone help" when you use does expressions when you are being kidnapped or followed then there is a chance that there would be someone there to help.

Wahine toa

This week for Wahine toa we are making bird foods to put into our bird feeding things that we will be putting in our garden and feeding the birds. We are trying to work with the sommerville students and help to interact with others that are not the same as others. It's fun working with the sommerville students and getting know them and others may think that there scary but if you get to really know them there actually really kind. When we work with some of the girls think we get a reward but the only reward that I know we get is spending time with others that are really special.

Technology

Yesterday we went to Technology and I am now in a different group. The new technology group that I am in is hard materials. For hardmaterials we are making necklaces and the necklace that I am making is a cross that I will be making for my aunty so I can but it on her grave to represent her lost from her family. If I have more time I am going to make another necklace for my dad and that necklace will be a hammer or boxing gloves, I am going to do a hammer to show that likes to build or a boxing clove to show he is a very hard puncher.

Earth and Beyond

This week we have been working on our inquiry. For inquiry we have been choosing different type of topics that relate to Earth and beyond. For Earth and beyond the topic we choose was Space rockets. We choose space rocket because we were interested in what happens in a space and what do astronauts do well they are in a space rocket.This week each group has to make up at least eight questions to research about that relates to there topic on Earth and beyond. In my group I have Aumau and Aletheia. They are great to work with only if there not deleting each others slides.

Script and Scribe

Today I have created a wordfinder that is based on the learning that we have done today. Today the learning that we have done today was a script and scribe. I have chosen to do a wordfinder because it's I like doing word finds and there fun to do. Here is a screenshot of my word find that I have made. Hope you like it enjoy.

Camp reflection

Today the kia manawanui syndicate were finishing of our activities that were in our camp booklets. The activity I choose to finish was task 3 and for task three we had to use the letters in the alphabet to come up with some vocabulary to describe camp.

One of the letters I found hard to look for vocabulary in was X,Y and Z, I found those hard because there were no words that popped into my mind to describe camp with those letter. The letter that had the most words in it and I think were the easiest was R, the words for the letter R was Respect,Responsibility and Reliable. The reason why I choose those words was because.

Respect- Being respectful to others

Responsibility- Taking full responsibility in your actions.

Reliable- Be Reliable to everyone around you
