Maths

WALT: Add and Subtract fractions with the denominator.

We were learning to add and subtract different types of fractions.

When we were adding and subtracting the fractions we had to also convert the fraction into a mixed fraction if it was a improper fraction.

This is one of the fractions the we had to add (Tip: When adding fractions, if the denominator is the same that means you don't add it because the denominator cannot be added or subtracted). When I added it I got 7/5, when you have a fraction and the numerator is bigger than the denominator then it is called a improper fraction and when you have a improper fraction you can convert it by seeing how much the denominator goes into the numerator and the denominator only goes into the numerator once in 7/5 so that means there would be 1 whole and from how much is left will be how many fifths is there so that means the mixed fraction would be 1 whole and 2/5.

Question for you:

Do you understand fractions?

Do you like fractions?
From 1-10 do you like maths?
